Story
Thank you for visiting Ride4MedicalAid's just giving page.
In May this year I visited Shatila refugee camp in Beirut. This is an extremely over populated and permanent ghetto for mostly Palestinian people displaced through war. Being with some of the children and seeing their situation gave more drive for me to take action on an idea I had had since the Gaza war of 2014. In 2016 I have set myself the challenge of cycling from London to Jerusalem. It will be an epic journey through 13 countries, one infamous mountain range, 7 capital cities, and over a distance of some 3,500km.
This is a cycle OF a lifetime as well as a cycle FOR life.
Medical Aid for Palestinians is a humanitarian charity set up by a doctor present during the massacre in Shatila and Sabra refugee camps in 1982. They work for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. They provide assistance and training for essential doctors and nurses in Gaza, medical equipment and medicines, primary care centres and GPs in cut off communities, psychological support to children and those severely effected by war....the list continues.
Please donate and consider it the possibility of a life saved. And if you can't decide how much to donate please see where the money goes at: map-uk.org
