We fund repairs and improvements to keep the county's church buildings alive

Story

On Saturday, 10 September, I shall again be participating in this annual fund-raising event, this time pounding the streets of Cheltenham in the company of Sue Padfield (who will be seeking separate sponsorship) and visiting as many churches and chapels there as possible - though, on this occasion, it will have to be for the morning only, as our Vicar, the Revd Canon Richard Mitchell, is to be installed in his new position in Gloucester Cathedral in the afternoon. In previous years, your support to me and my fellow walkers has been quite amazing, and St Mary’s has consistently been among the top contributors to GHCT through the Ride & Stride - and, of course, a beneficiary too,

I well know how many excellent causes there are out there, but whatever you can spare for this one will be very gratefully received. 50% of the money raised will go to GHCT and 50% to my own church, St Mary the Virgin, Great Witcombe.

More information about GHCT may be found at www.ghct.org.uk and about Ride & Stride in particular at www.ghct.org.uk/ride-and-stride/ . The County “Ride and Stride” Organizer may be contacted on rideandstride@ghct.org.uk or 01452 538271.
