Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi! As a member of Melcombe Regis Rotary Club I had the great privilege of listening to Pete Thornton, father of John Thornton, talk about his son - how he'd been a great ambassador for achieving goals and how John had lost his life in Afghanistan as a result of a nasty bomb. Fortunately I've never experienced losing a close one but Pete spoke passionately about his son's achievements and about the charity set up in his name! It was simply awe inspiring, positive out of negative and it's moved me to want to support the charity - by jumping out of a plane to raise cash! I have NEVER wanted to do such a silly thing!  31st July coincides with my 45th wedding anniversary - what a way to get out of the 46th! ONLY joking Susan!
