Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This is surely going to be a challenge but really excited about it - trekking approximately 100+ kms over 5 days up the Rarau and Stanisoara Mountains starting on 11th June. 5 days trekking and then visiting the projects that Link to Hope continue to run. After the five days it will be time to visit the projects and stay with the local people in Moldova.
We will discover a land that time forgot and unearth one of Europe's best kept secrets. We will trek through some of Europe's oldest forests, dotted amongst the romantic landscape and hike deep into the wild Transylvanian mountains.
I have paid £650.for the trip myself so every amount sponsored will go straight to Link to Hope.
Its time to get fitter! So am undergoing instruction for Nordic Walking. Its going well and really enjoying it. Its different to trekking but it should get me in shape for the trek!
Link to Hope is a Christian Charity established since 1991 and dedicated to rebuilding lives and communities in Eastern Europe by supporting Education and Social Care projects in Romania, Moldova, Ukraine and Bulgaria. I organise the Link to Hope Shoebox appeal each year at St. Leonard's Denton and it was on the occasion this year when I delivered the boxes to Lisa that she asked if I was interested in the Trek. Well that was it. Came home and really thought about it, got the Dr. to sign the medical form and yippy signed up to take part. Now its time to get organised and fundraise for this amazing charity.
