In June, I will be swimming 1 mile around a course at Lake Windermere for the Great North Swim. I have never swam outdoors so the weather and temperature will test me!
Whilst I love swimming and wanted to challenge myself personally, I am also doing it to raise money for Richard Cloudesley School which is where my nephew Sam goes to school.

Sam was born with severe cerebral palsy and cannot eat, talk or stand on his own. Sam is 6 and he loves stories, tricycling and playing with his younger brother and sister. He will be in a wheelchair and require constant care for the rest of his life.

Sam is disabled, but he is also kind, intelligent and funny. He is a happy 6 year old boy, going to school and playing at home. His school offers him the support to learn and he is able to use EyeGaze technology to spell words, play games and communicate.
Richard Cloudesley School offer Sam the space and support that is invaluable to Sam's life and do so for many other children with physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy.
I would like to raise as much as I can for the school so they can continue to give every child the support that Sam receives.
