Story
My name is Rosie Rainforth, I am 22 and in November 2015 I was diagnosed with cancer for the third time in my life - this time I am relapsing with Ewing's Sarcoma in both of my lungs, a type of primary bone cancer. I am currently undergoing treatment and we are trying to raise some money for bone cancer research. Bone cancer is rare and more funding is needed for research.
Bone Cancer Research Trust (BCRT) is dedicated to find ways to improve the lives of young people with this devastating disease, by raising money for vital research.

My father and my brother George will be walking the famous Hadrian's Wall in June, around the time my planned treatment is due to finish to raise money for BCRT. My other brother Harry will also take part if he is back from his travels at sea! I would of course take part if I was healthy enough but instead I will be undertaking a managerial role with my mum from the sidelines! I am determined to try and walk a small part myself, however some of my father's work colleagues have also indicated that they will be supporting us by joining him on parts of the walk.
Hadrian's Wall Path is 84 miles long (135km) from coast to coast. The path follows the famous World Heritage site passing roman settlements and forts. The trail starts in northern England at Wallsend and finishes in Newcastle upon Tyne at Bowness-on-Solway. The whole walk takes about 4 -5 days to complete across varied rugged terrain. Most of the time my Father will be camping, but with the unpredictable British weather he will no doubt also find the odd cosy pub enroute!
Last time we carried out a sponsored event in 2011 managed to exceed our target of £5000 and raise a whooping £8600, if we could manage this again, it would be an amazing feat, and donations will all go to a great cause. You can send a message of support, and its straightforward to keep your donation amount anonymous if you wish, and all donations no matter how big or small are welcome!
Once the feat starts we will post some pictures of the progress.
