Story
On the 20th June I am going to shave my head and give any money I can raise to Global Action Nepal.
Many of you will not have known me without my locks as I have had them since I was in secondary school. Some of you will have no doubt thought that I should have cut them of a long time ago. After watching the news unfold of the devastating Earthquakes in Nepal a few weeks ago I decided this was the time.
I have held a deep love for the country and its people ever since I spent 6 months living and travelling there over 10 years ago.
I have chosen to raise funds for the Bath based charity Global Action Nepal who, before the disaster were primarily concerned with improving education in rural Nepal and are now focused on returning social and education stability to rural communities after the disaster.
Although this will take no physical effort on my part it will no doubt be an emotional loss and I will never look the same again. If you do feel you can donate even a few pounds it would mean a lot to me personally and go a little way towards returning Nepal to the beautiful and peaceful country it once was.
