Have I bitten off more than I can chew? Let's hope not! Having been a runner for some years now, I have always thought that the ultimate challenge would be to run a marathon. But if you are to run a marathon, then surely London is THE one!

I am delighted to be able to support DELTA at the same time as realising a personal challenge.  To do all this hard work for personal gain, doesn't seem enough, but to do it in the name of such a worthy cause is the ultimate goal.

DELTA believes that the vast majority of deaf children can learn to listen and talk and that all parents of deaf children should be given this option. It's aim is to promote the education of hearing impaired children through their residual hearing capacity and naturally spoken language.

Only recently I met a mother whose son of just 18 months has been discovered as deaf.  She explained that already this has presented some considerable challenges so I am so very pleased I have the opportunity to support a charity that could make a difference for children like him.
