the CKDCF is an amazing charity that helps children across The North East and Cumbria. I have personally seen the great work they do at the Newcastle RVI. I have supported this charity since it started, even participating in the famous 1st walk (or rather climb) around Wastwater Lake in July 2002. Pleased to say the walk has been around Ennerdale Lake ever since ha ha !! 

In September I ran the Great North Run ..ok "the Mini one" ..with my 7 year old daughter Rachael, we raised money to be split between CKDCF and Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.

In the past I have completed this sponsored walk with my patner, Julie, but as she suffered a stroke earlier in the year, will be unable to participate, and of course I intended not to, but was talked into it by several people, including Julie. So here I am, with only just over 2 weeks to go, once again looking forward to this marvellous event, where i will be joined by our good friend, and work colleague Anna Clarke, and with the help of family, friends, and other work colleagues ..and anybody else out there !!  Hoping to raise a lot more money for the CKDCF
