Story

So as many of my friends and family know I have a passion for running :) Over a few years I have slowly built up my stamina taking on a run more challenging than the last! This year I have decided to run a marathon... But to make it just that little more fun, interesting and to truly test my fitness and mind I have signed up for a trail marathon.

I am running this marathon to raise money for Mountain rescue in memory of my Auntie Linda. 6 years ago she was involved in a tragic accident in which we depended on the efforts of this service to help find her.

Mountain rescue team members are on call, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Many of these people work for mountain rescue on a voluntary basis. This is such a valuable service that I feel needs to be recognised for the work that they do to help keep us safe when we take a wrong turn on a walk, or when we injure ourselves whilst out biking, search  river banks and swift water, aiding swimmers and kayakers, but not only that they have helped rescue animals, even more so recently with all the floods.

Thankyou for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and read my story.
