Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 1st, 2nd a of September 2016 I have decided to do a sponsored walk . On day 1 walk from Dunvegan to the start of the mole road, day 2 from start of the mole road to skye bridge . Training over the last 4 months have goine really well so i am now going to do the walk in 2 days instead of the original plain 3 days. The main reason is to raise money for two charities very close to my heart 1. Scottish Staffordshire bull terrier rescue and 2. Three counties dog rescue . The 1st because, any of you that know me will know i have a real love for staffies, my dear old staffie sumo whom I lost just under a year ago showed me years of loyalty and friendship and in the right hands are one of the nicest dogs you could ever own , and are so misunderstood and far too many people have the wrong opinion of this breed. The 2nd is a charity that my family have been involved with for many years since before I was born and on occasion I have ferried dogs from one foster home to another. Even though based in England a few dogs have been rehoused here on Skye and having a fantastic life, Having this charity so close to home makes you realise how much of a struggle it is to help these poor homeless souls. As I would like to raise money for several charities these two I feel are a must on this occasion. I have spoken to a few friends asking to join me on my mission , but happy if any one else would like to join me as well, more the merrier, I am also looking for any help for a support team on route etc, If any one reading this is interested in joining in and raising money for a charity close to their heart or supporting on route let me know. I will be setting up a fundraising page of some sort with a help from a friend shortly. Thanks for reading xxxxxxx
