Story
Hello visitor, thank you for viewing my page. I will be taking part in this years City of Lincoln 10K in support of The Wildlife Trusts. I will be dressed as a fox in sports wear, hopefully it will not rain otherwise it will be a fox with an umbrella. I have actually found it more challenging writing this than the running itself, even though this will be the first time I have participated in a 10K.
Life was very difficult for me at secondary school and further education. I found it very hard to socialise which left me feeling alone and isolated. On leaving sixth form at 18, I slipped into a deep depression and life did not seem worth living. School was the wrong environment for me.
I started taking daily walks in the countryside and this is when I saw my first red fox and roe deer together in the wild, these helped me see the beauty of the natural world around me. It felt wonderful, peaceful and more of a companion. It was in the wild when magical moments happened and I was given a heart warming feeling, which has made me become more spiritual and feel less alone.
From this, I discovered that life is a very valuable thing, and it was from this that started the fundraising for wildlife, because I would love to give something back.
Again, thank you for reading and for any amounts you give, this will certainly help the Wildlife Trusts work. Have a good day.
