Over time this will grow and Ryan will have contributed in some small way to one day finding a cure for this horrible disease. This is a very personal charity for us as two of our very good friends have a child Riain (also Irish for Ryan) who has had Menkes Disease for a number of year now. A beautiful little man that continues to survive - the average age a kid lives with Menkes is about 5 years. As you can imagine its a hearth breaking disease but its amazing to see how people cope and focus on the positives.
