Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
There I am nearing the top of Croagh Patrick. I fear this may be in another league! It is the Himalayas after all and is 5 days going uphill at high altitude.
I am hitting the Himalayas on the 3rd November on a 5 day trek in aid of a charity helping the youth of Nepal. My good friend Simon is one of the founders. This is an independent trek which I am funding myself so all sponsorship raised goes direct to the Charity. I will be visiting some of their projects whilst in Nepal and will be updating this page with pics as I go.
Info on Nepal Youth Foundation
Nepal Youth Foundation offers hope and opportunity to Nepal’s most impoverished children by providing them with what is every child’s birth right:vital healthcare, education and a safe environment. We have a huge range of projects that run from helping to combat Nepal's huge child malnutrition issues (41% of all under 5's are stunted) to running our children's homevillage (home to 80 orphaned or abandoned children) and vocational school. With the 2015 earthquake our work has become even more important and our remit has grown – we are now helping to rebuild government ran school and training villages in how to rebuild their own seismically safe homes. Your money will go a long way to help our projects and these are some ways your money can be used:
£2,700
– will help us to rebuild one classroom after the earthquake
£2,850
– can train 25 villagers to become certified home builders
£3,000
– will cover the costs for two children to stay at our new children’s village for one year
