Our Aim

Thanks for taking the time to visit our HMS Sheffield JustGiving page.We would like to raise money to finance our HMS Sheffield D80 war widows, survivors and their families for RAF indulgence flights to the Falklands. 

Why Is Funding Required

2017 will be the 35th anniversary of the Falklands Conflict, many of the HMS Sheffield D80 veterans and their families still need closure to allow them to move on with their lives. However subsidised RAF indulgence flights are only available for veterans to return to the Falklands, meaning war widows and veterans partners do not have the same opportunity and that is why we want to help them. 

The Challenge

The first fund raising event will be in June 2016 with a team of HMS Sheffield veterans aiming to complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. The event has already interested family members and friends in becoming involved and supporting us.

Priority Of Passing On Funds Raised. 

Priority is to provide support to the war widows and veterans partners of D80 Ships Company with a secondary priority to meet any requests received from other South Atlantic Medal Holders / associations. All money raised will be donated to the:  SAMA82 "HMS Sheffield Account"
