Story
It's that time of year again to get involved in the Black cat & pumpkin week.
Please be sure to have fun and remember to promote the charity who not only offer shelter and veterinary care to stray, abandoned and unwanted cats but also offers Duke of Edinburgh and work Experience placements in the shop and at the shelter; take the cats into care homes for the elderly so that they can enjoy these magical creatures; share our Book Buddies reading scheme with local schools; encourage and support local groups and clubs to visit our shelter and enjoy the experience of working with the many animals at our shelter.
About us
The aim of Shropshire Cat Rescue is to care for and re-home unwanted cats and kittens. To educate the public on responsible cat ownership (including the benefits of having one’s pet neutered) and to arrange for colonies of feral cats to be neutered and returned to site. Shropshire Cat Rescue is an entirely unpaid, voluntary group. Some of our volunteers work around the clock to care for stray, abandoned and unwanted cats and kittens. We are always happy to welcome new volunteers to help us make a difference.
Volunteers
We always need extra pairs of hands to help out with the various jobs we have. If you could spare a few hours a week helping either in the shops, at our shelters, or you feel you have skills which you believe may be useful, including driving then we would love to hear from you. If you are interested, please see further details about becoming an volunteer on our Support us page.
Donate
There are a variety ways you can donate to Shropshire cat rescue. You can donate items to our 2 shops, you can donate from £1 to £10 by text message. You can purchase items from our Ebay shop or donate items via ourAmazon Wish List. You could donate food to one of our many food collection bins around Shropshire. You may also want to consider sponsoring one of our shelter cats or perhaps leave a legacy in your will. The choice is very much yours.
