Story

What did we do?

Fifteen members of St. George's University of London Wild Medics Society are cycled from London to Paris in less than 24 hours!

We left London on Saturday 5th May 2012 at 3pm and cycled 60 miles to Newhaven in order to catch the 11pm ferry to Dieppe.

Arriving at 4am French time on 6th May 2012 we then had until 4pm to cycle over 110 miles to the Eiffel Tower!

After three punctures, a few wrong turns and the life-saving bacon sarnies and porridge (thank you Hannah Crofton & Ellie Dodson) all three teams made it to Paris before 4pm!

The students who made their way from London to Paris against the clock are:

Team 1:
Patrick Reynolds
Sophie Westland
Matthew Owen
Ismail Vokshi
Simon Dockrell

Team 2:
Daniel Cooper
John Willis
Joe Clarke
Toby Nelson
Chris James

Team 3:
John Norsworthy
Hannah Kirk
Rob Gregory
Oliver Hannington
Ned Tapley

Why did we do it?

To raise money for Medical & Educational Aid to Kenya (MEAK).
