Hi! Thank you for taking time to read my story.  In March this year I lost my husband John to cancer, something which he had battled for several years.  I wanted to raise money for a charity that John would have been proud to support.   Throughout his life John was passionate about dogs in particular rescue dogs and owned four rescue dogs of his own.  His dogs gave him much comfort in his final days. 

This is the reason I have chosen Rochdale Dog Rescue who rescue stray and abandoned dogs in the North West of England and beyond.  The charity has an army of volunteers who work tirelessly to help save these dogs from undoubtedly being put to sleep and find them forever homes.  I hope you can help this charity by sponsoring me, in the Manchester 100 mile bike ride on Sunday 4 September 2016 to raise much needed funds.    

I have now completed the 100 mile bike for Rochdale Dog Rescue so if you would like to donate to this great cause, no matter how small the donation, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Sharon X
