As a family we were greatly touched by the excellent treatment and care Simon received at the Mount Edgecombe Hospice near St.Austell in Cornwall. This has been a cause close to Simon's heart; in his most recent posting as British High Commissioner in Malaysia, Simon and Gail were involved prompting the hospice movement through the work of Hospis Malaysia.
