Sold the Movie

An intense, emotional story of one girl’s quest for freedom

Shiva Foundation is privileged to host the screening of SOLD the Movie (@SOLDMovie), followed by an exclusive panel discussion with Academy Award winning Director, Jeffrey D Brown and Impact Producer, Jane Charles (@producerjanec).

Every year, millions of children disappear; trafficked and sold as slaves, for sex or for labour.  This is happening in almost every country, on every continent in the world, yet this industry is largely invisible, its victims hidden. This is their story.

Based on the critically acclaimed and award-winning international best-seller by
Patricia McCormick, SOLD tells the story of one girl named Lakshmi who becomes a victim of human trafficking.

Thursday 13th November 2014
7.15pm

Courthouse Hotel, 19-21 Great Marlborough Street, London, W1F 7HL
