Story
I have decided to finally cut 7inches off my hair for charity! The hair itself will go to the Little Princess Trust who use the hair to create hair wigs for girls and boys across the UK and Ireland that have lost their hair due to cancer treatment. I would also love to gather some sponsors along the way and all money raised will go directly to Luna’s Little Stars, a Charity set up in memory of Luna, my aunties god daughter.
Luna was diagnosed at 18 months with an Ependymoma brain tumour. Luna’s family searched across countries for treatments when there was no treatment available in the UK, they travelled to three different hospitals in the US for different therapies. Sadly Luna passed away on 8th August 2012.
Luna’s Little Stars provides families with the opportunity to visit other clinics/hospitals across the globe where there may be better treatment and more hope for their child's future, they fund travel, accommodation and costs towards preliminary tests to see if their child is suitable for treatment. In addition to this the charity sends the child and their family to Euro Disney, Luna’s favourite place where her family took her twice in the last three weeks of her life.
Please dig into your pockets and donate whatever you can to this great cause. Every penny counts and could literally be the difference in treatment for a child suffering form a brain tumour. What might feel insignificant and small to you could make a great difference to someone else’s life. Thank you to everyone who donates, hopefully we can give someone a more hopeful 2016!
