Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are 4 Firefighters from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue (and with the help of 2 support drivers) will be cycling 1000 miles from Lands End to John O Groats for the Fire Fighters Charity.

Anyone who knows us will be aware that we are probably not physically suited for long distance cycling. However we cannot shirk from our duty of doing something that we enjoy and turning it into 11days of pain for such a worthy cause.

So who's doing this? Dave Rogers, Stewart Nicholson, Steve Helps, Tony Deakin. We are being supported by Nigel Kind and Stewart Layhe who are giving up their spare time to help us.

The firefighters charity helps retired, serving firefighters and fire personnel and families to enhance their quality of life through recuperation, physical therapy and respite.

They are completely reliant on donations and this service costs over £9m per year so your support is very much appreciated.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
