With the support of some very generous donors, UK hospitals and private institutions, in September 2015 the Ida Bass Kidney Foundation commissioned a 13 bed haemodialysis unit at the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital in Banjul, The Gambia. However, we are faced with the task of sustaining this great achievement of the charity. I am now appealing for your support in order to provide the unit with desperately needed dialysis consumables to ensure that the increasing number of patient continue to receive regular treatment they need to stay alive.

The total amount to be raised by all the participants in the British 10K London Run on the 10th July 2016 fundraising for the charity will also contribute towards training more renal staff and commissioning a second haemodialysis unit in the Gambia.
