This Ramadhan,  Ahlulbayt TV are working in conjunction with Sajjad Foundation, to raise funds for the needy orphans and widows around Iraq.

Sajjad Foundation, through authorisation of the highest scholars and holy shrines of Karbala, have been working for years to provide critical assistance and care for families who have lost their primary breadwinner; typically, in the battle against Da’esh or through sectarian bombings and other acts of violence.

These families face the most unbearable of situations, with mothers having to cater for sometimes as many as seven children, without any means of income nor support.

Sajjad Foundation works to provide life-saving assistance to over 1,200 orphans and over 250 families in three key areas, of which your generous donations would be allocated towards:

• Home maintenance and provisions – allowing derelict homes to be rebuilt or developed, eradicating rat/insect infestations, providing blankets, mattresses, fridges and hot water boilers.

• Medical assistance – sourcing medical experts and providing the means for young children with physical or mental disabilities or conditions to receive aid. Eyecare, mental health assistance, and medication provisions.

• Monthly allowance – offering a monthly allowance of $50 per registered family, typically used by mothers to fund education, meals and other living essentials.

£10 can feed an orphan for 6 days

£50  can feed an orphan for 1 month

£100  can sponsor a medical procedure for 1 child (eye operations/cataract, limb operations,
speech impediments)

£500  can sponsor an orphans daily meals and school fees and equipment for one year

£1,000  can sponsor two orphans daily meals and school fees and equipment for one year

£5,000  can redevelop a home for a widow and family (furniture, electricity, water, and clothing)
