Dear Friends,
In India, when my sister was two years old and I was four, my Mother fell into a coma and remained there for three weeks. No antibiotics were helping her and Daddy was distraught that despite being a doctor and despite knowing so many people in the medical field, Mummy was deteriorating and all feared the worst. It was a well known fact that, in those days, in India, the purity and availability of medicines were not up to scratch and for all we knew the medicines Mummy was receiving were fake or old or whatever. What we did know was that they were not working and we needed a miracle. One day Daddy, unshaven and frantic, found himself again at the local pharmacy and as if by miracle, bumped into a sales rep who was just coming into the shop. The rep said that he had a new antibiotic which he assured Daddy was legitimate and would be effective. The rep brought the medicines to the hospital as soon as he could and within hours Mummy started to respond. Because of this, we still have her today.
Intercare makes available much needed but legitimate and effective medicines to people in the most needy parts of this world. We hope that with this support Intercare can continue its marvellous work so that more Mothers, Fathers, Sisters, Brothers, Daughters, Sons, Grandfathers, Grandmothers, Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and Friends can live active and longer lives. Daddy would be very proud to be supporting this cause and our family would like to thank you very much indeed for your support.
With love,
Shakuntala, Ratna, Ranjana, Oliver, Woody, Rahul, Jai and Aria
PS Please urger your GP to become an Intercare centre and collect unused, intact medicines and dispensers. Intercare will do all the work, they just need outlets.
