Thanks for checking out my page guys! As many know mental health is very close to my heart. I myself have been helped and looked after and taken to safety by police officers when I've been unwell. I've come a very long way and I dread to think how different it could have been without them.

Friends of mine made me aware of call4backup which is a charity which provides emotional support to officers in times of need. An average day at work for a police officer is very different to an average day for a lot of us. We all know what stress, anxiety and feeling low feels like. But imagine feeling that at the end of a shift where you've just told a father his teenager daughter died in an accident, or after turning up to the scene of a suicide, or helping a woman and child flee domestic abuse. 

This charity aims to support officers through the challenges they face and I think we should all do our bit to help them! That's why I'm running the color run in aid of " call4backup" I chose the color run as to me bright and cheerful colours signify the light at the end of the tunnel that so many of us are lucky to find. 

Sadly call4backup was set up following the loss of an Essex police officer who sadly didn't find his light at the end of the tunnel. And his fellow friends and colleagues are I'm sure everyone would agree doing him proud with all the excellent work that call4backup
