I'm very please to announce Michelle from Bury st Edmunds is now the proud owner of This Happy Flower Blanket
Thank-you to everyone for your support and donations xxx
At the beginning of the year I was asked to think of a great way to raise money for my workplaces nominated charity. What could I do ? of course ...Crochet :-D I made an appeal to the very friendly community of "The crafternooners" on Facebook to help me make squares so that they could be sewn together in the most colourful way . Here we are now at the end of the journey with a fabulous blanket made by many with much love. The blanket includes squares made by the pattern writer at Annie's Place http://hookandbake.blogspot.co.uk/ Thank-you Sharron.
We also have squares posted from as far away a Spain, not to mention a very generous donation of 80 squares representing 80 years of love. A massive thank-you to everyone who has contributed it would not have been possible without you x https://www.facebook.com/FOTEcommunityblanket/
None of us know where our lives will take us , but if we are fortunate enough to live a long life I want to believe that charities like Friends of the Elderly will be there for all the challenges our mature years bring, to offer a helping hand , words of advice and company if the nights are long and lonely. If you want to help more and be a friend please pop along to their website to see if you could help make a difference to someone today x
