As a family we have chosen to raise funds for Ralph Bates Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund following the loss of Elizabeth to the disease. This charity was chosen as nearly all their income goes into researching this disease, which was incredibly important to Elizabeth. Elizabeth lost her life within three months of her diagnosis.

Due to the lack of previous research into the disease Pancreatic Cancer has remained with having an extremely low survival rate. Often people do not discover they are ill until it's too late for any effective treatment to take place.

Elizabeth was always a positive person who did not want her passing to be in vain.
