As canicrossers we have both achieved some amazing milestones already and raised money for worthy causes. We are now raising the bar and setting our sights on our biggest challenge so far ...

A half marathon around Central Park in NYC ....

Our challenge is dog less and flat so something neither of are used to but we still hope to raise £700 pounds for Jacks Pack.

Pack ( Police Against Cancer in Kids )

The trip includes running 14 miles in uniform around Central Park , pulling an Airbus A320 belonging to Jet Blue, another 5k on the NYPD memorial run and a visit to the Ronald Macdonald house in NYC where the families of sick children stay when the little ones are receiving treatment in the city. We will hear first hand what it's like for children and their families battling cancer.

There's lots of other things planned too but ultimately it's about raising awareness and money for an amazing charity with was started 10 years ago by PC Mark Edwards who organised fund raising trips to New York to raise money for Jack Browns fight against the childhood cancer Neuroblastoma.

Sadly Jack passed away 6 years ago but the fund raising has continued and along with his mum and dad who are also both serving police officers, they are now joined by officers from many forces who continue the good work.

Each officer self funds the trip and commits to raising £350 each hence our joint total.
