Story
Hi everyone, my name is Sam Hall, and I will be volunteering in Mexico this summer for 4 weeks. The charity that I will be travelling out there with is called The Seaver Foundation (charity no. 1157104, supported by CIVA, 1122095).
The Seaver Foundation is a non-profit organisation that offers enhanced wellbeing and future prospects to socially excluded children in both England and overseas.
In Mexico next summer, I will be taking part in up to four projects that The Seaver Foundation provides over there. These projects are a children's refuge, a disability day care centre, a children's summer sport's camp, and working with families in the slums of Mexico. All four projects support children who have been abandoned, abused or orphaned. Many have traumatic pasts, which leave them needing a lot more support than other children as some are disabled, or have been left with behavioural difficulties.
These projects are extremely short staffed, however they manage during term time. The Seaver Foundation flies a team of volunteers over every summer to aid the staff on these projects, supporting the young children, and making a difference in their lives.
I would really appreciate any donations, big or small, as it would all contribute to my total of £1900 which I need to raise in order to travel over there. I will be setting my own challenges in order to raise the money, and I will keep you all posted on my progress!
Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page, and I will be grateful of any donation!
