I wish to raise awareness and funds for this amazing charity in memory of our beautiful baby girl Leila Eliza. Our baby was born sleeping on the 17th January 2015.

From the 22nd to the 31st of March I will be volunteering for a charity in Sri Lanka where we are aiming to vaccinate and neuter a large volume of roaming dogs in just 10 days. For this we will be working in tents which will definitely be taking me out of my comfort zone and away from the luxury of a prep room and ops theatre.

Everybody that knows me knows how crazy I am about animals and how much animal welfare means to me which is why I am going onto this little adventure. I also wanted to turn the overwhelming sadness of losing our daughter into something positive and something I feel passionate about. I already gain so much from the work as a veterinary nurse but I believe this trip could change my life and give me  the strength to overcome the challenge life has presented me with.  I will be posting lots of photos so please keep checking in to see for yourselves how hard this charity works or visit their website by clicking on the link on the right.
