Story
Please read my story and spread awareness for Addisons sufferers, it could save a life!
I'm a proud father of two beautiful girls. In February 2016 after a ridiculous amount of visits to the doctor and being told there was nothing wrong with our 11year old daughter (who was fading before our eyes) and to tell her "she feels OK and she would be" , somebody listened!!! Within 2 weeks Molly had, had many test and we were told that She had Addison. What's that? We are still learning.
Addisons affects people in many different ways. In Molly's case she has muscle weakness, pain, headaches, exhaustion, lack of concentration, the inability to get through a week without needing time off school, anemia, struggles to control her temperature and an amazing tan (we don't want that anymore it's part of her condition😄) these are just a few.
So wow, yeah that's why I am going to push myself to the limit. Im fundraising to build up awareness for this condition (that is life threatening if not treated). We are a lucky case as Molly was diagnosed with exceptionally low cortisol levels and her body was shutting down. Although things are tough for our baby at the minute, we, as a family want to spin it upside down and do something positive. So I've dropped that stone in the pond and for every person who reads this I have hopefully raised awareness of this condition. Any money I raise will help a family like mine and educate people (including doctors) of how to help and support not only Addisons sufferers but their families too.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and thanks for reading my story. Please give what you can because it all helps.
