Story
I have always watched the London Marathon on the TV and thought I would like to do that as the people running are a massive inspiration.
I have always wanted to run a marathon before I hit the big 40 and as many of you know I am running out of months until this happens.
After gaining a place last year but having to postpone it I am more determined than ever to complete this challenge. My wonderful husband Jonathan is completing the training with me but on the day I will be on my own completing the biggest challenge of my life so far.
Please can I ask you to do 1, 2 or all of the 3 things below:
1) Come up to London on 24th April and cheer me on.
2) Sponsor me and help the Bodie Hodges Foundation.
3) Sign up to the organ donation website
If you believe in organ donation, prove it
Would you take an organ if you needed one?
Nearly everyone would. But only 31% of us have joined the Organ Donor Register.
More than 10,000 people in the UK currently need a transplant. Of these, 1000 each year – that’s three a day – will die waiting as there are not enough organs available.
Please help us to turn people’s good intentions about organ donation into action by registering on the NHS Organ Donor Register.
