Story

Hi everyone,

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the VHI Mini Marathon in June to raise money for Dogs Trust. Dog's Trust are the largest dog welfare organisation in Ireland and are established in Dublin rehoming dogs since November 2009.

Their aim is to bring about the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy and safe life, free from threat and abuse. On last years reports, Dogs Trust rehomed 2,888 dogs in Ireland. Dogs Trust are an expanding organisation holding a large number of dogs to meet the ever growing demands. In 2014 a purpose built puppy wing was added to the existing centre which allows an additional 500 puppies to be rescued each year with their mothers.

This wonderful organisation employs over 57 members of staff along with a group of generous volunteers. Working around the clock, these members not only rehome dogs but have launched various campaigns such as the Hot Cars Kill Dogs campaign and also continually highlight many canine related issues such as microchipping and neutering.

As a dog-lover this organisation is close to my heart and having researched the work done by them, it was not a difficult decision to chose them.

However large or small, all donations are very welcome. I, along with Dogs Trust truly appreciate it.

Thank You,

Sarah.
