Story

As you may or may not know I am an adrenalin junkie! So when Connect.ed, a fantastic teachers organisation set in Dubai, set up this event I had to jump at the chance. As part of Angels and Heroes we are raising money for a fantastic charity

What is Maria Christina?

Set up in 2005 by Maria Conceicao this foundation works tirelessly to help raise funding to help provide education and opportunities to the underprivileged of Bangladesh.

MCF currently supports 200 students who are enrolled in private schools and colleges in Dhaka, and over 50 adults studying under MCF English program. Without the charities help and support these children would have no education.

I was fortunate to actually meet one of the girls they have helped recently and she was so grateful and thankful. She talked about her life back home and the sadness was obvious yet when she spoke about school and learning her whole face lit up. Just to see that is worth putting your hand in your pocket to donate!

 What is Angels & Heroes?

This is the fundraising arm of the Connect.ed Education Community. One of the communities goals is to help improve access to education to underprivileged children and give back to the community.

Please find it in your heart to donate as little (or as much) as you can. Maria Christina Charity does amazing.

In advance thank you for looking at my Just Giving page and donating.

About the charity

Maria Cristina Foundation helps children and adults in the slums of Dhaka, Bangladesh break the cycle of poverty through education. We believe every child should have a chance to go to school and make a better future for themselves. Where a child is born must not define where he/she can go.
