Story
Thank you for visiting my page - it's reassuring to know that you don't think I'm totally nuts for signing up... or maybe you still do... so I'll tell you why I think it's worth it.
Unless you've been living under a rock since birth (I take that back if you were born before 1844), you will have heard of YMCA, not least because of 6 village people. But you probably haven't heard about just how wide-reaching the charity is and just how transformative YMCA's support can be.
YMCA turns the lives of our most vulnerable young people around when they have been left with absolutely nothing, through no fault of their own. We give them a room off the streets, tell them how much they're worth so they stop hurting themselves and clean them up from their addictions. We get them closer to their families, help them find their passion, train and educate them and show them they can be leaders, travel the world, make a difference and ultimately give back to their communities. YMCA steps in when the people who should have cared just haven't. Some young people aren't lucky enough to grow up with a chance and they need your help. YMCA needs to be there for them before desperation has them picking the wrong path.
I am so proud to say I work for this charity. Whatever you are able to give, it would mean so much to me and to YMCA to have your support. Thank you.
