Story
I am on an exciting, albeit nerve-racking mission to set a new Guinness World Record by holding the highest formal dinner party at the North Col of Mount Everest on April 16th!
This will be led by former SAS captain and troop commander Neil Laughton, and will see a team of 10 adventurers climbing with me to host the dinner at a whopping 7,100m (23,293ft).
The reason why I am carrying out this expedition is to raise funds for Hospitality Action, the trade charity for the hospitality industry.
I am absolutely passionate about this industry, and I am well aware of the long hours and hard work that goes into ensuring others have a wonderful time when dining out, staying away from home, or celebrating a special occasion.
For some, their passion for the industry is eclipsed when they find themselves in difficult situations, maybe because they have fallen on hard times, are suffering from a long-term illness or experienced a bereavement from a close family member. This is your chance to help all those people, and really make a difference to ones in need.
Hospitality Action offers vital assistance to all those who work, or have worked within hospitality in the UK, who find themselves in crisis. In 2014 Hospitality Action spent a phenomenal £595,046 supporting those facing issues such as poverty and life-changing illnesses.
It goes without saying that I would be incredibly grateful if you could sponsor me so that I’m able to raise as much as possible for this cause close to my heart. My goal is to raise £10,000, and I would like to thank you in advance for all your help and support.
Thank you so much and wish me luck!
