Story
Hi there
Having done a few long distance rides over recent years I've decided to ride coast to coast across Scotland. The route is from the Ardnamurchan peninsula to Stonehaven. It is more or less the most western to the most eastern part of the mainland (technically Peterhead is the most easterly but I couldn't find a bar on the seafront to head for!) The route takes me via Strontian, Corran Ferry, Fort William, Aviemore, the Cairngorms and down through Deeside. It'll take me 3 days with the third day being the toughest, going over The Lecht (third highest road in Britain at 2100ft). I'll be riding on roads - most seem to do off road and I haven't found any blogs on the route I'm doing. There might be a good reason for that - I'll let you know how I get on and if its to be recommended!
