We raise funds for military personnel to provide subsidies for their health care

Story

Those of you who know me will know that I am not built for long-distance running. Even when I was young and fit (which was a long time ago!), endurance events were not my forte. In a momentary lapse of common sense, several months ago, I agreed to run in the hospital team for the Royal Parks Half Marathon.

My fund-raising, like my training, is very much too little, too late, however every bit of either helps and and I would be very grateful for all donations, however small. Many thanks!

I am running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on the 9th of October as part of a team of staff from King Edward VII's Hospital. I am running to raise money to support the excellent care and support the hospital provides, particularly in charitable support for military personnel and veterans who are need of medical support. We forget our armed services in times where world conflicts are routine and yet the contribution they make is beyond measure. I am privileged to be working as part of a world class unit with unique facilities in the heart of London.
