When people pass our church buildings today in Irvine, Ayrshire, UK, it’s the banner messages they usually notice, our buildings not
being much to look at. We must never forget that ‘church’
is ‘people’, not bricks & mortar, and that buildings are
to serve God’s purposes & people not vice versa. This
year we celebrate 175 years since our church sanctuary
... was built, in which time much worship and lively witness
has been given to our glorious Lord Jesus Christ. Such
are the major cultural shifts of recent times we have long
realised that, if there is to be a lasting visible presence
for Fullarton Parish Church, we must create flexible
multi-purpose buildings.
It is frustrating how long it took us to reach this point,
but here we are on the threshold of something very
exciting! Imagine how chuffed and inspired Fullarton
folk were when our sanctuary was completed and they
no longer had to walk to Dundonald Parish Church to
worship on Sundays? Now we have the honour and
privilege of realising a similar breakthrough in raising
the money to develop our buildings into a more vibrant
Hub for church & community, where we can more readily
share the love of Christ and make disciples.
I have a dream! I dream of an attractive place, where
all people can find new life in Christ, in body, mind &
spirit. I dream of our children’s, children’s children
giving thanks to God for our commitment to their future
in the Kingdom of God. Will you join me in sacrificially
committing to the future of God’s Work in and through
Fullarton Parish Church? Will you join me in making
history!? Please prayerfully consider how you can invest in this future.
