Story
In memory of Riley - I Love You To The Moon & Back My Darling Boy And More Than All The Stars In The Sky - You'll always be The One.
*********************************************
I really didn't know what I was going to do when My Riley died. I hated coming home and I felt like my whole heart had just gone with him. I was lost, to be honest, but then I saw a picture of Our Pippa.
She was staring out from behind the bars of a cage, in a Public Shelter, in Romania and I just knew that she was meant for us. It was like a lightening bolt really and that's where 1 Dog came in. They rescued her from the shelter and arranged her transport to us and on the 15/11/15 our little whirlwind arrived home and our feet haven't really touched the ground since.
Then 6 months later, on the 22/05/16, lightening struck twice, with the arrival of Little Prince. He had been found with wire tying up his mouth, but despite this, he is just the loveliest, laid back, little lad you could ever wish to meet.
I'm not going to say it's all been plain sailing, especially with Pip, who's very much a work in progress, but we love them both beyond words and they've made our house feel (and smell) like a home again. So, to thank all those involved in 1 Dog At A Time Rescue UK, and to fulfill one of my 50/50 Challenges, we are going to try to raise a minimum of £500 for them.
Pippa and Prince are going to oversee the venture and I'm going to do a few little things, I hope you feel are worthy of sponsorship. First up, I'm giving up all forms of Chocolate for the WHOLE of July (for those of you who know me - Yes, I bloody can do it). Then I'm getting a Riley name tattoo. I'm really scared of needles and fairly pain averse, so that'll be fun. Next, I'm going to dye my hair purple and finally I'm doing a 10 mile sponsored walk.
Please help if you can. 1 Dog really are the most wonderful little charity, who do so much to help dogs like Pippa & Prince; dogs who just wouldn't have a chance without them. Beyond that, they make families whole again and help heal broken hearts - both human and canine.
Thank You all so much,
Lots of love Selina, Pippa & Prince xxx
