Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
To celebrate the 30 Anniversary of La Barbe and Surrey Care Trust it would be wonderful to make this Trek my most successful fundraiser yet. Due to my Sahara Trek being again cancelled , I have entered instead the Roc d'Azur Cycle Challenge 2013, http://www.rocazur.com/us/roc_azur.html. I have chosen to do the 50k Mountain bike race event on Saturday 12th October, a race I have fancied doing for years. My cardiologist has done all the necessary tests and sorted my medical certificate - I am now eligible to participate and can concentrate on the training. My aim is to finish this tough race in 4 hours.
Unfortunately I had to postponed my orignal plans to trek in November due to a serious sprained ankle injury before departure, hence the change of dates to November 2013. Hopefully this should give me a bit more time to reach my target of £5k.
So please dig deep and donate now.

I am preparing for a hot and sandy trek to raise funds for the
Surrey Care trust. The 100km trek into the heart of the Sahara remains the second largest desert in the world and one of the last great areas of wilderness. One of the hottest, driest (and sandiest!) places on Earth, from the great sand dunes to the arid, boulder strewed plains where ceaseless winds and furious sandstorms blowing from nowhere.
