The "Charity Walk for Peace" is an annual event which has raised over the years £2.4 million for 207 UK charities. Last year £365,000 were raised.

Some of the recent bigger beneficiaries have been Queen's Diamond Jubilee Charitable Fund (£250,000), Great Ormond Street Hospital (£82,000), Poppy Appeal Collection (£48,390), British Heart Foundation (£40,000), etc.

The distinctive feature of this effort is that every penny raised is donated to UK registered charities, the administrative costs being borne by the  the organisers.
