Story
Hi everyone
Many of you will be familiar with the story of Brian and Briton- the bravest and most resilient little boys I have ever met!
They first arrived at Forever Angels in 2010 as tiny, sickly, premature babies- just 4 days old. Their young mother had died in child birth and their father was unable to care for such fragile newborns.
When the twins turned 1, they were returned to their father... but it was not the happy reunion we had hoped for. They were horrifically abused and starved almost to the point of death. Luckily, they were found just in time and returned the the Baby Home suffering from severe malnutrition and neglect. It took a long time before they trusted grown ups again, but they grew into healthy, clever toddlers (with amazing dance moves!).
On my last visit to the Baby Home, Social Welfare announced that they had found an aunt of the boys who wanted to care for them. Everyone was hopeful that the boys would finally have the family they deserved. Unfortunately, however, their aunt was incredibly abusive- beating the boys and depriving them of food. The abuse was so bad that Briton (at just 3 years old) ran away to get help and spent a night alone on the streets before being picked up by police and brought to the Baby Home. Both of the boys were covered in scars and whip marks. Their aunt was jailed for the abuse and Brian and Briton settled back into life at Forever Angels.
Incredibly, the decision has now been made that Brian and Briton will be forced to return to that same aunt within the next week...unless we can raise £2000 to send them to a local boarding school instead. It is not an ideal solution for such young children, but we know that they will be safe there and can return to Forever Angels outside of term time.
£2000 is a huge amount of money in Tanzania so we are hoping that you can donate to help to change the future of these two amazing little boys.

ALSO- if anyone knows of an individual or corporation who might be able to commit to sponsoring the long term education of one or both boys, please do get in touch with me or Amy Hathaway.
