Story

This is something you all must read, know and do something about. Over the last few days, in Morocco, as I met the various great scholars of hadith, I came across two great elderly female scholars (whose names I won't mention) aged 86 and 89. As we read hadith and studied under them for a number of hours, we soon came to realise several things. Both, who are blood sisters, do NOT have a father, a brother nor a husband; both solely depend on each other at this age, with no man in the home. The situation of the house was way below living conditions, with mice freely running around; nothing that we would ever accept for ourselves. I even came to realise when I went to the bathroom, that the flush to the toilet had not been working for over four years subhanallah, four years!!!

We could see the sisters wanting to host us with food and drink, but they could not even afford to give us the most basic of things such as a cup of tea. Despite this, before we left, they gave everything they possibly could and hosted us with everything they had in the house, genuinely wanting to attend to our comforts. Their generosity was sincerely felt heart to heart.

Both sisters, who hail from a truly great family and from great scholarship, are living in this dire horrible condition today. Everything I had and could give, I gave for I saw two individuals who in my eyes were truly the friends of Allah. Their manners, piety and fear of Allah was out of this world; this could be felt from just being in their noble presence.

Over the next weeks, I will be trying to raise as much as I can for them in order to change this plight they are in. These two sisters have no one and not a penny to their names; their full reliance has only ever been on Allah. I know Allah made me come across them for a certain reason and allowed me to share this with you for a certain reason also. Please please be generous now by giving something to them. Helping and receiving Dua from people who are close to Allah is the best thing you can possibly acquire in this world. Both sisters have never been to Hajj and for them this is a dear dream, so let's please do our best to make this dream a reality this Hajj insha'allah.

p.s. This is my own personal account and attempt with friends and family to help both individuals here and also others who are in a similar condition. Anything raised will be presented as a gift insha'allah.
