Story
I have set up this page to raise funds for Sobell House Hospice in memory of my warm and wonderful father in law, Peter Bury, or PJ as he was affectionately called.
Pete died last year after a short battle with Pancreatic cancer and spent his final days in Sobell House Hospice in Oxford where they provided the most amazing care to both Pete and his visiting family.
Pete was the proud father of seven children and all in turn have been completing impressive tasks to raise funds in the last year and have so far raised more than £12,000. These have included two marathons, a ridiculously hard bike ride and a cake sale. Please help me do my bit!
Sobell House Hospice is an adult specialist palliative care service that was established in 1976. It offers care to those facing life threatening illness, death and bereavement. The focus is on quality of life, respecting the uniqueness of each person, and respect for the dignity of all users of the service.
The hospice needs charitable funding to continue its excellent work for other families like ours.
The cost of running the Hospice is well over £4 million a year.
So please dig deep and donate now.
