High Sheriffs' Stapleford Park Walk, 24 July 2017

Story

This 10 mile Sponsored Walk starts at 10.30 am on Sunday 24th July 2016. Drive up the glorious drive of Stapleford Park country house hotel to a car park made available by Lord Gretton especially for this event.  The route weaves across rolling countryside on the Leicestershire / Rutland border to the home of the High Sheriff of Rutland in Whissendine (where a light lunch will be available on the Old Vicarage lawn).  The return journey takes a route through Stapleford Park;  tea will be served at the end. Much of the route is on paths and tracks not normally open to the public (with thanks to Stapleford Park estate).  Maps and guides will be provided.

You can donate through this page, or email RutlandSheriff16@gmail.com to get more information and sponsorship forms.

Funds raised will be divided between two local charities helping the young and the old:  WarningZone, which teaches ALL of our children how to avoid the dangers of modern life (http://warningzone.org.uk/), and LOROS, providing much-needed help for the terminally ill in our area(http://www.loros.co.uk/).
