Story

The Jockey Club Challenge Charity Race

The Air Ambulance Charity funded entirely by the public, it receives no Government or Lottery funding. £6 million is needed each year to keep it operational.

The Air Ambulance saves hundreds of thousands of lives every year, saving people from all sorts of horrific situations, road traffic accident, horse riding falls and casualties at sea, the time they save getting people to hospital is the difference in some situations between life and death.

As some of you will know I recently started working for The Jockey Club at Warwick Racecourse.

As began to notice how amazing this charity was we wanted to create an event that was going to be a good fund raiser.

We decided to give £1 of our admissions for a fixture but we thought this wasn't enough.

Therefore we wanted to create an event that was going to raise more funds.

"The Jockey Club Challenge" was born.

One person represents each racecourse around the UK and enters into our charity race. Horses and riders have to meet certain criteria and either undertake a course by the British Racing school or alternatively ride for a licensed trainer for a set period of time.

As you can image this takes fitness, dedication and commitment, as most representatives have never ridden in a race before.

This Race "The Jockey Club Challenge" is going to take place on Ladies Day at Warwick Racecourse on the 18th May.

All I ask is please please please support me with this and donate what you can, to help me achieve my goal.
