Myself and Sandra have decided to do the Peru Trek in memory of our mother Hilda Morrice who had dementia for 11 years. My parents stayed with myself and i recieved support from Alzheimer carers so this is my way of saying thankyou as they became part of the family and mums face would light up when the girls arrived and i could go out for the day knowing that my mum was being well cared for . Even though we have put our total as £7,700 it would be great if we were to raise more as it will go to support more carers to get the support they need and I know myself how important that is to have that break from caring for someone with dementia.
