I am priviledged to be able to return to the Himalayan foothills as part of a small all-Wales group that will continue the ongoing links between St John Cymru Wales and the health and reception centre workers of the Tibetan People's Parliament in Exile.

While we will be involved in training a number of locals, (including orphans from the Tibetan Children's Village (TCV), Buddhist monks and nuns, work apprentices, and local Indian Healthcare workers), there will be a strong focus on developing local trainers.  This is essential so that existing Tibetan healthcare workers are trained in first aid, and that further instruction within the wider community is sustainable.

Whilst I am happy to pay for my own trip costs - if you would like to make a small donation to help us purchase items locally for the TCV, that would be much appreciated.  Examples of items purchased in this way previously include bikes for healthcare workers, educational materials, food supplements, special needs equipmentand solar panels.  All training materials we take with us from Wales (including resusci-dolls, dressings and bandages) will be left for the use by local trainers.
